Watchers Giveaway Prize - 2/3

The second Watchers Giveaway Prize, this time for the great Kauriana, who won the Character Design slot.

When Kauriana asked me to draw her mage character, Haleth, all she had was this headshot of him: sta.sh/0h1tu2n571a So we talked about him a bit, and then I came up with some quick thumbnail designs for him: sta.sh/014154x8cyxs

I let Kauriana pick her favorite from the lineup, then I made some color variations from her final choice: sta.sh/028umv5ypjq2 Again, Kauriana got to choose her favorite one.

As you can tell, this picture has been a WIP for a while now, haha. I'm not really sure what happened - it just kept getting pushed back behind other pictures for some reason. Aside from the lateness, I'm still super happy with the final picture. Human characters are one of my favorite things to paint but, unfortunately, I don't get nearly enough chances to paint them. I also got a crash course in fire and clothing folds in this picture, which are both things that I need more practice with. I think I did pretty well considering the inexperience. (Though figuring that stuff out certainly added to the final time, haha ;D )

I hope you like it!

Beautifully done Pash!!! The hand in the foreground in drawn perfectly for this pic and I like the shapes you made with the shading on it (it has a very realistic appearance). The clothing shading is also very well done, especially with the way the chest is billowing out bc of the air beneath. Great work as always!
