Take Flight

Woo finished!

This picture is from my 1500 Watcher Giveaway that I held back in April. The character is BlueFoxAurora 's awesome dragon, Zane. Gotta love those bright colors!

So this picture ended up taking far too long entirely by accident. Whoops, sorry!

I actually started on it two days after the giveaway closed (you can ask bluefox about this - I sent her a thumbnail sketch and everything!) but then... things happened. Basically, I fell into a crappy art block that ended up lasting all summer. Ugh. Then, when I finally got out of the block and looked at the sketch I... no longer liked it. Cue me trying to come up with another idea, wasting time on other sketches, etc. etc. only to circle back to this idea. After wasting a week or two on those other sketches, I finally figured out that I didn't like the initial version of this due to anatomy weirdness.  So the anatomy weirdness was fixed, colors were added, and the picture was finished. Woooo~
